Cape Cod is shaped like the arm of someone flexing a bicep. It is divided into 4 regions: Upper Cape, Mid Cape (Where I lived over 9 years.), the Lower Cape, & the Outer Cape. The Mid Cape includes the tows of Yarmouth, Dennis, & Barnstable. The Scargo Tower is in the village of Dennis, MA. It is the third tower, the first two were built of wood. First one was destroyed by strong winds, possibly a hurricane. The second one burned. This one opened in 1901, and is made of cobblestone, a paving stone. My late husband, & I used to visit there quite often. This picture is from a post card I bought when I went back to visit Cape Cod two years ago. I hope to be able to go back again maybe next year.
